Our History:

Marisol Pabon Rodriguez, Founder and President of the FUNDASOL 126 Foundation, was born in Colombia. She chose Business Administration as her profession, but the work she enjoys most is serving others and creating a positive impact in the lives of those she encounters along her journey. She is the mother of two children, one aged 14 and the other 23.

Although she was born in a neighborhood with very limited resources, through hard work and dedication she earned several scholarships that enabled her to achieve two professional degrees and additional certifications, including:

TOP 10 Colombia Licensed Trainer Coach in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, certified by The Society of NLP and Richard Bandler.
Professional Coach in High-Impact Dynamics and Firewalking.
Business Administrator from Fundación Universitaria del Área Andina.
Enneagram Practitioner certified by ENEA Mexico.

In 2013, she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. The news deeply impacted both her and her family. However, after the initial shock, courage and faith inspired her to combine her own treatment process with social service at the National Cancer Institute, where she received medical care for two years. It took Marisol those two years to overcome cancer.

Motivated by her own experience and the life stories of the people she met during treatment, Marisol decided to dedicate herself to supporting patients, caregivers, and vulnerable individuals. As a result, on July 15, 2015, she founded FUNDASOL 126.

After ten years of social service, combined with the education and knowledge she acquired throughout her journey, she learned that one of the primary causes of illnesses such as cancer, as well as many social problems, lies in the lack of timely attention to emotional well-being. She also realized that the very fabric of society is sustained by the essential role of women. This led her to conclude that when a woman heals, society heals as well. For this reason, she launched a new preventive initiative focused on providing timely emotional support and personal development opportunities to women who have been victims of violence, abuse, and mistreatment through the project “The Miracle Is You.” She firmly believes that by restoring dignity and empowering women, they can improve not only their own quality of life but also that of their families and communities.

Fundación de Amigos Solidarios FUNDASOL 126 develops impactful actions that positively influence:

Women: Our programs focus on strengthening physical, material, emotional, and educational resources that enable women to break cycles of violence and vulnerability.

Their Children: Drug addiction, suicide, and other psychosocial risks affecting minors are largely preventable when children grow up in healthy homes with proper education, care, and protection. We work to make this possible.

Their Families: We strengthen the family unit by promoting economic independence, emotional well-being, and the creation of safe and loving homes where every family member can thrive.

Their Partners: By fostering equitable and respectful relationships, the foundation works to eradicate gender-based violence and promote communication and mutual understanding, building emotional bonds founded on equality and respect.

Their Environment – Society: Our impact extends beyond individuals and families. By empowering Colombian women, the foundation contributes to a more just, equitable, and prosperous society where every woman’s voice and potential are recognized and valued, thereby promoting the nation’s overall development. This work not only significantly improves the quality of life of women and their families but also helps build a stronger, more sustainable, and resilient social fabric throughout Colombia.
